Family Resource Center

The Family Resource Center offers essential services to families across the 10 parishes of Region 8 in northwest Louisiana. This program supports families in three main areas:


1. Kinship Services

  • Provides assistance to family members who have taken on the role of caregiver for a child within their family.


2. Parenting and Life Skill Building

  • Equips parents and caregivers with parenting skills and life skills to better navigate the challenges of parenting.


3.  My Community Cares

  • Offers targeted resources and support for families residing in the 71106 and 71107 zip codes of Caddo Parish.

Region 8 refers to the Shreveport region of the Department of Children and Family Services in Louisiana which serves Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, Jackson, DeSoto, Red River, Sabine, and Natchitoches Parishes.
